SERMON SERIES: LEAN IN

It sounds pretty good, but what does it mean--really--to have a "relationship with God"? ...What does it look like? And how do you make it happen on purpose?

In this series we'll examine three snapshots of one ordinary person's relationship with Jesus. Along the way, we'll discover three things we'll need to bring to the table if we're going to get closer to Jesus and be changed forever.

PART 1: TRUST ME

Trust is tough; it always makes you vulnerable. Without it, though, a relationship is impossible--especially one with God.

7/5/15  Speaker: Zach Carstens, preaching intern

PART 2: IT'S WORTH IT

Getting close to God is going to take some serious sacrifice. Don't worry, though--that's actually good news. Here's why.

7/12/15  Speaker: Justin Gerhardt

PART 3: KEEP TRYING

The gospels describe a moment when the apostle Peter’s developing loyalty and shaky understanding of Jesus are put to the ultimate test – and he fails in the biggest possible way. It's a moment in which it's easy to see ourselves. Thankfully, we also see how Jesus provides hope and inspiration for all of us who, like Peter, fail but keep trying.

7/19/15  Speaker: Zach Carstens
